JanSo we are approaching the end of our first week of 2015 and already we’ve been busy meeting our client’s deadlines and having exciting conversations about new projects for the year ahead – the Christmas holidays are already a dim and distant memory.
One very exciting piece of news we got over the break was that two of our clients were recognised in the New Year Honours List. Wilma Erskine from Royal Portrush Golf Club received a British Empire Medal for services to Northern Ireland tourism and golf. The past few years have been particularly special for Royal Portrush, with the club having hosted the Irish Open in 2012 and the news that the British Open has been confirmed to return to the course for the first time since 1951, possibly in 2019.
Pearl Hutchinson, Chair of the Kilrea Local History Group also received a British Empire Medal for services to the community. Pearl is a prolific publisher of local history. Her recent memoirs “Behind The Wooden Counter” recollecting her childhood in rural Donegal, was launched in December 2014 and already a re-print of the title has gone to press.
We would like to congratulate Wilma and Pearl and thank them for their loyal support over many years.
With such a great start to 2015, we are looking forward to another year when we can deliver lots of innovative and effective design and print solutions to our existing customers - and some new ones too.
