Slemish Guide & Interpretive Panel

Graphic Design \ Large Format

Slemish Mountain is the remains of an extinct volcanic plug that legend has it, was where St Patrick called home for six years.

It dominates the landscape near Ballymena and offers breathtaking views of the North Antrim Coast and Scottish Isles; Lough Neagh and the Sperrins as well as the Bann Valley.   With such rich history and  spectacular views, its no wonder it attracted over 12,000 visitors in 2013 -14.

The task for Impact was to design and print a guide and interpretive panel to inform visitors of the rich biodiversity of the site so that they could gain a better understanding and enjoyment of the area.

We developed a new wordmark for Slemish to give the site its own identity; sourced images of the huge array of plants and insects that call Slemish “home” and developed a clean and simple layout that made a feature of some wonderful photography that showcases the beauty of the area.  But don’t take our word for it, get out and visit Slemish to see our work in situ!
